David Dearld Leon Jay,  Jr., 24, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 2:25 A.M. May 4, 2019 in Rural Belle Rive, Illinois . He was born May 30, 1994 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to David Leon Jay, Sr. and Patty (Bracken) Jay.

 

David is survived by his father, David Leon Jay, Sr. of Mount Vernon, Illinois; mother, Patty Tate and husband, Bob of Mount Vernon, Illinois; son, Brantley Jay and mother, Alicia Young of McLeansboro, Illinois; three stepdaughters, Emily, Emberlyn, and Emery; special friend; Anna Meadows of Mount Vernon, Illinois; four sisters, Candance Broadway and husband, Michael, Danielle Jay, Brandy Jay, Kalley Jay, all of Mount Vernon, Illinois; two stepbrothers, Robert Tate and wife, Lakin and A.J. Tate, both of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

 

David was preceded in death by his grandparents; stepbrother, Codey Tate; and special friends, Ryan Burris and David Sloan.

 

David worked as a manager at Fun Blasters. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

 

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Former Tumbleweed Restaurant East of Mount Vernon, Illinois on Route 13. Memorials may be made to the Jay Family, In care of Patty Tate
