WHITE COUNTY —  Two White County men were arrested Wednesday night into early Thursday morning after two traffic stops.

A Norris City man was arrested for driving while license suspended and revoked and cited for possessing less than 10 grams of cannabis and possessing drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop early Thursday morning on Route 1 in Carmi.

According to Carmi Police, 20-year-old Caleb E. Quillman was stopped on Route 1 shortly before 1 a.m. He was taken to the White County Jail where his bond was set at $150. He bonded out shortly after being taken to jail.

Also, a Carmi man was arrested and charged for driving under the influence of alcohol after Carmi Police stopped him for squealing his tires shortly before 7 Wednesday night at the intersection of Stewart Street and Hillsdale Drive in Carmi.

Police say 29-year-old Justin M. Lindsey submitted to a field sobriety test and was found to be impaired. Beside being arrested and charged with DUI, he was additionally cited for illegal squealing of tires.

Lindsey was taken to the White County Jail where he bonded out after paying $100 cash.
