THEBES — Illinois State Police have released more information into that two-vehicle, double fatality crash that happened on Route 3 in Thebes just after 9 Monday morning.

According to a preliminary report from ISP, 30-year-old Tamika S. Littleton of Cairo was driving her SUV north on Route 3 about a quarter-mile south of Thebes Road and entered the southbound lane of traffic striking the left front of a pickup truck driven by 64-year-old Michael V. Wilson of Fancy Farm, KY.

Littleton and one of her passengers – a 4-year-old boy – were airlifted to a St. Louis hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Two other passengers, 50-year-old Lohoma Williams of Cairo was pronounced dead at the scene and a one-year-old girl was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Williams and the girl were not wearing seat belts.

Wilson was taken by ambulance to an out of state hospital.

ISP continues to investigate the crash.
