Eddie Q. Lacey, 83, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 9:51 A.M. September 13, 2018 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born November 14, 1934 in Jefferson County, Illinois to the late Quentin McCullough and Maxine (Fox) Lacey. Eddie married Dorothy M. (Martin) Lacey on October 21, 1956 in Sesser, Illinois. They were blessed with nearly 62 years of marriage.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Newell Funeral Home 601 South 42nd Street Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Mr. Randy Sells officiating. Interment will follow at Horse Prairie Cemetery in Sesser, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Eddie’s honor to Central Christian Church or Horse Prairie Cemetery.
