EWING — The University of Illinois Extension is celebrating a special milestone this year at its Ewing Demonstration Center Agronomy Field Day. The center is celebrating 50 years of continuous no-till research at the facility.

Marc Lamczyk is an Agriculture Program Coordinator with the Extension. He says the research done there the past 50 years have made a big impact on southern Illinois farming.

Lamczyk says a special piece of the center’s past will make a return to Ewing for the Agronomy Field Day.

The Ewing Demonstration Center Agronomy Field Day will be on Thursday, July 26 starting at 9 a.m. There is no cost and food will be provided. Lamczyk asks that anyone that attends RSVP to the Franklin County Extension Office by Tuesday. The office’s phone number is 439-3178.
